Lynne Andrews

draws, paints and writes about aspects of landscape — gardens, bushland and wild, remote places.

A trained art teacher, Lynne taught in high schools and then conducted her own Studio One school of painting and drawing for 22 years. She also lectured on the imaging of Antarctica for 5 years at the University of Tasmania in Hobart.

While researching her book Antarctic Eye: The Visual Journey, Lynne made air and sea voyages to Antarctica, travelling as far south as the Ross Sea and South Magnetic Pole. On her second sea voyage she was artist in residence for the Theme Polar Arts Program.
